My husband and I have been happily married for nine years and have been together for almost fifteen. We were college sweethearts. Three children later, romance can get pretty low on the priority list. Romance is one of those things that, for me at least, translates into a higher sex drive. I’d venture to say many women feel the same way. There are many ways to express romance, and in turn, to drive your woman wild. Here are five ways to do that.
1. Get down on your hands and knees… and wash the floors.
There’s nothing sexier to a woman than watching a man get down and dirty… to clean house.
My husband sometimes jokes that there’s nothing sexier to a woman than a man wearing rubber gloves. He says this because every time he’s donned rubber gloves to clean the house, I’ve found a way to distract him from his work.
Helping around the house is a given when you’re married, but sometimes going the extra mile, especially if your wife is a stay-at-home mom, can show her how much you appreciate everything she does on a daily basis. It’s often a thankless job, housework. But you might just get thanked in a pretty awesome way if you go the extra mile to help out.
I’m not guaranteeing results, but I’m pretty sure she’ll be happy if she’s not the one to sweep under the baby’s chair for the seventh time today.
2. Do something totally romantic… on a totally random day.
Feeling romanced makes a woman feel loved. And feeling loved often leads to wanting some lovin’.
If you’ve been married for a while, and especially if you have children, chances are, the romance might have gotten lower on the priority list. Which is why doing something awesomely romantic for your partner is even more important.
The definition of a romantic gesture varies widely from woman to woman, but as her partner, you probably know what your lady’s desires might be. If not, just ask her. She’ll probably tell you.
Increasing the romance in the relationship makes both partners feel loved, and a great side effect of feeling loved and heard, is that you both start noticing (again) all the great things about each other… physical and otherwise. For my husband and me, anyway, this leads to wanting to express that appreciation in a physical way.
